Hyssop is a very popular herb in root work for cleansing. Used in magical baths for cleansing and purifying to clear negative energy and jinx's. 

Hyssop is a small shrub related to Mint.  Hyssop is one of the most ancient of ritual herbs. It has been used for millennia for cleansing and consecration. It is native to Southern Europe.

Hyssop is mentioned several times in the Bible. The best-known of these references is David’s prayer in Psalm 51:7: “Cleanse me with Hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Hyssop is the main ingredient in a cleansing bath.  Baths are one of the simplest and most effective ways of purifying the self, preparing yourself for magical work, or for inviting in desired magical effects. 

A tea made from hyssop is used as a spiritual bath to take off a jinx. After bathing, carry the used bath water to a crossroads at dawn and throw it over the left shoulder toward sunrise in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, then walk home without looking back. Add it to floor wash to clear away Crossed Conditions at home.
