Mandrake root, Mandragora officinalis, is very hard to come by these days. made famous by the movie Harry Potter where the mandrake screams when it's picked. Mandrake is magically used for money, prosperity, love and fertility spells.

The human shape of the root makes it well suited for use as a poppet. To activate a dried mandrake, place it on the altar undisturbed for 3 days. Then place it in warm water overnight. The root will the be activated and ready for any magickal purpose.
