Butterfly Pea Flower Powder, also known as Blue Matcha, is a high-quality Butterfly Pea Flower produced from hand-picked flowers, finely ground and dried. Butterfly Pea Flower, also known as blue matcha, is perfect for making exotic tea-infused cocktails, unicorn lattes or just for a little fun in your cup.
Butterfly pea flower is a herbal tea and derives from the plant clitoria ternatea, named that because it’s shape supposedly resembles female genitalia. It is common in Thailand and Malaysia. In Thai restaurants, it is used as a natural food coloring or dye for sticky rice desserts and puddings.
Made with 100% butterfly pea flower milled into a powder to Japanese Matcha specifications, this tea is perfect for lattes, iced teas, cocktails, smoothies, baking and more! Add a dash of lemon and it magically turns purple. It can be used as an ingredient in typical food and drink recipes which would use green matcha tea.

Steeping Instructions:
Like it Hot? Add 1/2 to 1 tsp to base of small bowl cover powder with 2 oz of hot water (75C) and whisk to dissolve the powder. Add about 2/3 cup more hot water, and whisk until you get a nice froth on the surface of the water. Serve immediately.
Matcha Latte: Put about 1 tsp of matcha into a cup and fill with hot water up to 1/4 cup. Using a whisk, break up the clumps of tea powder until you get a smooth mix. Fill up the rest of the cup with steamed milk. Add sweeteners such as honey, beet rock sugar or agave nectar. Enjoy.
Another great way to enjoy the benefits of matcha is to add about 1 to 2 tsp to your morning protein or berry shakes. It blends really well and adds a great healthy boost of antioxidants. You may also explore the other uses of Matcha in drinks, cooking, and desserts.
Like it Iced? Follow hot instructions. Let whisked mixture cool. Pour over a glass filled with ice.
